Type + Mood + Emotions

In this workshop we will look at different design solutions and analyze, through the wide variety of examples, how the selection of type helps get a specific message across more clearly and loudly. Many elements used in a design project contribute to the overall look-and-feel. However, depending on the typeface selection, the design can come across as formal, dramatic, contemporary, historical, futuristic or celebratory. It can also produce the emotions like happiness, calmness, sadness, anger or fear. The right selection of type can set up the overall mood and produce a specific emotion that will make the design more powerful and the message more persuasive.”
